You will have the opportunity to see the Mandraki harbor together with the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Then you will walk through the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes and see the remains of the temple of Appolo, the stadium and the Amphitheatre. After that, we will leave you at the Old town in Rhodes for independent browsing. You will have at least 3 hours stay here. You can enter the Grand Master Palace or the Archeological museum. An evening walk through this Medieval atmosphere combined with shopping and refreshing evening sightseeing. Then we will return back to our starting point.
Half Day Rhodes Town Tour

Our driver will come and meet you at the reception desk of your hotel, apartment or private villa. We will start our tour with a scenic drive towards the capital of the island – Rhodes town. Whether your hotel is on the East or West Coast of the island we will follow the coastline and enjoy dramatic views of the sea, picturesque villages and the beautiful landscapes
We will start our tour from Mandraki port where once stood the famous Colossus of Rhodes – one of the seven wonders of the Ancient world. The Colossus was a big statue of the god of the sun – Helios and it stood for 56 years when an earthquake destroyed it. We will stop for pictures of the area and you can also enter and see the Church of the Annunciation which is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and impressive chandeliers.
From there we will pass and see the Northern point of the island where the Aegean sea and Mediterranean sea are meeting each other and then we will stop for a panoramic view of the city from the Monthe Smith Hill.
Next we will visit the Acropolis of Rhodes. You can walk and explore the area and see the Temple of Appolo, the Ancient stadium and Amphitheatre.
Our next stop is the Old town of Rhodes which is the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe where more than 4.000 people are still living inside. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is listed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO with cultural sites with exceptional value and it is protected for the benefit of all Humanity.
We will leave you at the main gate of the Old town so that you will have ample of time to explore the Old town on your own. You can visit the museums inside – Grand Master’s Palace and Archeological museum and the famous Knights’ street. Maybe have a cup of coffee, do some shopping or simply have an evening walk in this Medieval atmosphere. The Old town is a popular destination in the evening hours when the heat of the day has gone and all the shops and cafes stay open at least till midnight. You will have around 3 hours in total to spend in the Old town and our driver will meet you for the return trip at the exact place he left you.
2 Private Island Tours. Wonderful Experience
Before our planned stay on the Rhodes Island, we have booked 2 private taxi tours with this company, and it was totally worth it. We saw everything we wanted to, and even more.
Our first tour was to the town of Rhodes, and we saw all the highlights and had more than enough time to climb the Clocktower, to enjoy the grandeur of the Grand Master Palace and to wander around the narrow streets of the Medieval Town. We had an excellent driver, Michael, who lives in Rhodes Town, and was happy to share his knowledge and experience with us. He is a real pleasure to talk to, and speaks very fluent English. He even made a little detour specially for us and drove us through some parts of the Town, though they were quite narrow to navigate in a car (which is another plus – for driving excellence:-)). On the way to our hotel near Lindos, he also made a few detours from the main road just to show us the beautiful and picturesque panoramas and authentic landscapes, and told us loads of interesting stuff about the life on and the history of the island, which was very nice of him.
On the second day, we had Dominic as our driver, and explored Prasonisi, and the Western part of the island (Monolithos and Kritinia castles). We enjoyed it immensely! At the end, Dominic found a desolate “wild” beach for us to spend some time on – exactly as we asked (for which our special thanks to Dominic).
All in all, both trips were excellent and totally worth the money.
What was also important for us, is that the planning and arranging the tours was extrasmooth and easy with this company. We could choose any date, any time, and any destination, without any deposits (payment to the driver at the end of the trip), which is very convenient and customer-oriented.
